The Digital Marketing for Business – DMFB conference was created by Lawrence Harte and Phil Buckley to help share successful marketing tips and options. They wanted to setup an event where marketing people can show and share what marketing really works.

The DMFB marketing show is developed and run by marketing volunteers. This keeps ticket costs lower and provides a better conference. We want to learn why just like you what works, how to do it, and typical results.

The first DMFB was at the Raleigh Convention Center in April 2013. The event started as one room for two days. As local marketing people discovered DMFB, new sessions were added and more speakers volunteered. Our first keynote speaker was Gopi Kallayil from Google who amazed the audience with displays and insights of the future of marketing.

The second DMFB in May 2014 doubled in size and had a new expert track of sessions. Despite growing pains, reviews for the 58 sessions and 99 speakers were almost all positive.

The third DMFB in May 2015 has added a video marketing track, “how-to” workshop track, WordPress Bootcamp Pre-conference, and Marketing Casino networking night.
